The 2010 Fluid Power Conference & Expo is scheduled for April 6-7, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Cleveland, Ohio. This is the original site of the event.

In 2005, we designed this new Expo to offer fluid power companies an opportunity to present fluid power solutions to interested attendees. The 16-24 session conference is set up to allow attendees to gain valuable fluid power knowledge while visiting booths of fluid power suppliers.

We serve lunch both days to all paid attendees and exhibitors. For the companies exhibiting, the event offers a low-cost way to display products to pre-qualified attendees and an opportunity to interact with prospective new customers.

For more information, go to http://www.fluidpowerexpo.com/

At the 2010 Fluid Power Conference & Expo, Jack Johnson of IDAS gave a four-part series titled Closed-Loop Electrohydraulic Control.

Part 1 Introduction to Motion Control
Part 2 Proportional and Servovalves
Part 3 Electrohydraulic System Design
Part 4 Closing the Loop on Electrohydraulic Motion Control

As always, Jack did a great job of educating the audience on the subject. There was a good turnout of attendees to all four sessions. For more information on the Cleveland event and future Fluid Power Conference & Expo events, please go to http://www.fluidpowerexpo.com/

At the 2010 Waste Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, the event included the Fluid Power Conference & Expo. In addition to Hydraulic System Basics presented by Tom Wanke of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, four more sessions were presented.

The theme of the remaining four sessions was energy savings and hydraulic hybrids. For more information, please refer to my blog at michael.ference@blogspot.com
