Said skills must include the ability to read and understand COMPLEX hydraulic drawings, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair the same. Additional responsibilites will include normal mechanical maintenance. Interested persons should sent their resume to:

They're not asking for much Ed. I bet anyone with those few skills are a Dime a Dozen.

I would be interested in feedback from the Resume's they get. It seems you may be working with them on filling this position.

In 1973 a local 2,500 Employee plant asked for a person with hydraulic experience and my resum'e was returned with a note that I was too qualified. Since I had been doing contract work for them I was able to see the resume's and it was laughable what people thought made them qualified for the job.

Oh well that is about normal for a skill that depends on Manufacturers of the equipment and Vo-Tech schools that have one 2 Hour course in Fluid power for their Maintenance Training.

Someday, Maybe????????????????????

Actually, Bud, it is me they need to replace. I am moving on to help open the "Hard Rock" amusement park in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Ed;
I don't think you should expect a lot of feedback from qualified persons.
As is evident from the few posters on this and all the other Fluid Power Forums talent in this regimen is not over flowing with eligible workers.
Maybe Peter would like to change Sea Shores, Since I'm sure the latest rides have a lot of Servo and Proportional controls to deal with. But, I doubt he would like the Hands On part of the job.
I still would be interested in the answers you get to your query.

I am stuck where I am. I am married to a company.
You are right about not wanting to get oily.
It would be more fun to design the rides and program the controllers. Finally, the testing would be fun.

I don't know Peter - a hydraulic power plant that accelerates a roller coaster to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds? (From a standing start)

Ed must have lost his keyboard. I'm not interested in the job only to see how it stacks up with other industry. Maytag

Actually - I lost my (work) computer while moving to South Carolina. My position in NJ was a management position - the person they are looking for is specifically for the roller coaster - and wouldn't necessarily be management.
