We just heard some sad news this morning that Bud Trinkel, fluid power consultant and one of our most avid forums posters, passed away last Wednesday.
We will miss Bud's contributions to our forums, and the industry in general. However, we're happy to continue sharing Bud's fluid power books on our website, and hope you'll find them useful if you need his expertise. A proper obituary will be featured in our September issue. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bud's wife, Sharon, and his children at this time. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Mary Gannon, Senior Associate Editor Hydraulics & Pneumatics |

I’m sorry to hear of Bud’s passing. I didn’t know Bud but I came to rely on him to point out new and/or interesting happenings in hydraulics. I appreciated his efforts and he will be missed.

I admired Bud quite a bit, and he helped push me towards a good career in hydrauilcs. He was always very open and honest, and always answered all my questions.
I'll make sure to pass on his passion for education in the fluid power field. |

I am very saddened by the loss of Bud.
I have visited and met with him many times over the years, and he is a very good guy. Fred W. Hensel |
