Can anyone recognize the manufacturer of this cylinder. Although it could actually be an air cylinder, it is used as a low pressure hydraulic cylinder on a saw grinder.
The barrell is brass, the gland and base cap are aluminum, the piston is aluminum, the rod is chrome plated shafting.
I would cross this out to a Bimba or Clippard, but the mounting threads are metric.
The pictured cylinder has a total overal retracted length of 254mm, 138mm stroke, 12mm rod, 35mm bore
This grinding facility has a lot of these cylinders, but there are no markings on them indicating who the manufacturer is.

Doug,

1. Who is the manufacturer of the grinding centers these cylinders are on? If you know the mfr. and model of the machine you should be able to contact them and they can help you with whatever you need.

2. If you want to completely replace them, and the threads and dimensions are all metric, more then likely these cylinders meet ISO standard 1632. This means any manufacturer who makes an ISO 1632 cylinder (Bimba, Clippard, Parker, Festo, SMC, ASCO Numatics...to name a few) will be able to directly interchange this one.
