I would like to build a regeneration circuit. I understand that I can use a sequence valve and check valve to accomplish this. Can someone suggest what configeration Ican use? This is for speeding up the retraction of ahydraulic cylinder.

Sorry Jeff, typical Regeneration circuits as you allude to only work on the extend stroke of a Single Rod Cylinder and normally require a 2:1 Area Ratio Rod size.
In my "Fluid Power Circuits Explained" training book I have a non-standard Regeneration circuit that will speed up a hydraulic cylinder or motor of any design in either directioon and can actually give more that double the speed when force requirements are low. It's the only way I know of to make a cylinder retract faster from the same pump flow except gravity and a pre-fill valve. You can see an excerpt of the book on my web site.
