Anyone have any experience (good/bad otherwise) with the Indian product line Veljan especially their vane pumps. Any distributors in the US?
Thanks,

From their web page looks like they are an India knock-off of the Vickers V Series and Denison T series and probably directly interchangeable with either one.

I take it someone is trying to sell you a machine with these pumps instead of what you have all the parts for and knowledge of.

I have never come across Veljan in my limited travels so I don't know about their life. I have replaced Denison and one other companies rendition of Vickers pumps for lessmoney and better delivery in the past.

I've come across some Veljan pressure relief/unloading valves in a couple of cotton gins-its common with the bale presses to use a triple pump setup similar to what is on the Veljan webpages but there is no name on the pumps-anyway no name I can find. Trying to find a supplier as there doesn't appear to be a direct interchange to Vickers/Rexroth etc.

We have had several of these units that we purchased from a vendor of ours. We have yet to see problems with these units. We purchase a lot of the cart kits for Vickers and Denison pumps yet to see a problem yet.
