Hi, this is my first post here. I'm glad to be a part of the group.
We build small hydraulic power units that flow around 4 gpm at 5000 psi. We use Dynex PF2007-2190 check ball pumps to do this. They're very good pumps and do a great job. The thing is, they are getting hard to get and very expensive. Does anyone know of a viable alternative for these pumps? Thanks for any input. |

Piston pumps can handle that kind of pressure. What are the other requirements of the pump?

SAE B 2 bolt mount, 4 gpm @1800 rpm up to 5000 psi, 7/8" shaft w/ 1/4" key, mounts to a 10 hp electric motor with an adapter, uses magnalloy m200 coupling. Let me know if I left anything out. |

A check ball pump is a piston pump. Bosch/Rexroth makes piston pumps. Metaris also makes piston pumps but I don't know if they go too 5k P.S.I.

Oilgear has some piston pumps rated at 5000 PSI in their PVW and PFW line. Check out their web site at:

Bosch Rexroth have plenty of pumps that go as high or higher than 5000 psi. Pretty much every piston pump does 5000 psi +. The A4VB axial piston pump can do 6090 psi continuous or 6525 psi peak. Their R4 series radial piston pumps can do 10150 psi continuous.

Dynex has axial piston pumps capable of 10000 psi, Enerpac uses them on their 80 series power units. Great pumps, trouble with them is, they never quit.
