You mean Full load Torque ? Use this formula- Full load: T = HP x 5252/rpm T = torque (in lb-ft) HP = horsepower 5252 = constant rpm = revolutions per minute _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rocky Hermes Handbags | debt relief services | Arabic Translation Service This message has been edited. go to websites for training like eaton hydrostatic and hydraulic drive catalouge . read e books, like one by late BUD T, study some systems witch are alrady in use, use some junck yard sience ,get some used parts open and study them,
it will take at least one year to make a curcit for yourself that too if you have enough I.Q.+free time+good seating arrangement in frount of your computer+will power to get hammering from high ego hydraulic engineers. or you should tell what you are making and what are your requirments may be somebody allrady made this kind of machine will help you. go to '' machine builder in ,,there are some projects witch can prove intresting for you. hydraulics are not too hard to understand but there are very few people willing to sperad knowlage. thats why there are less traind people working in this field compairing to electronics. i have seen sixteen year old boys devolping software, making robots , making microlight aircraft. never seen an hydraulic engineer with enough confident to make a hydrostatic vahicle drive without grey hair. Halping hand needs to learn how to spell.
Nathan, you need to calculate the torque. When? It varies depending on the pressure drop across the motor and the speed of the motor. That varies with time. So what do you want? Starting torque. Steady state torque? Torque as a function of velocity? First off one doesn't calculate the torque. It is estimated. The hydraulic motor manufacturers don't provide enough information. Torque = (PSID*VolumePerREV/(2*PI) but they don't provide the frictional values for the their motor. At least they don't provide a formula that will provide the net torque that you, and others, want. This is one of my pet peeves with hydraulic OEMS. Everything is an estimate. "Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.." John Lennon, Strawberry Fields. |

Thanks Peter, I need to calculate torque to select motor and pump to move vechile mass of 7200lbs and to run at speed of 5 miles an hour. It will be helpful if you can show me how? Thanks |
