Hello,

Current we have a problem with a axial piston motor used in a hoisting application. At low speed 80-120 RPM flow to the leakage port jumps from 5 to 40 liters per minute, flow comes from load side. Does anyone have experienced these same kind of problems for certain types of axial pistion motors?

Best regards,
Daniel

What is Motor Inlet Pressure and Pump Outlet Pressure at the higher Revolutions when Case Flow decreases?

Does prssure decrease as the RPM decreases and extra bypass flow is seen?

do you have a flushing shuttle valve coming in and out of function? it should be taking charge oil from the low side, not the high side, but the changes in case flow would be normal as the load changes on and off. Or, are you seeing actual changes in speed, motor 'cogging'?

Hi Daniel ,
Volumetruc Efficency of Axial Piston Motors below 400 to 500 RPM is very low . Leakage
Flow varies due to change in load and/or speed. In applications running at 80-120 RPM
the use of Bent Axies or Radial Piston motors are recommended.
